Features:
- New Karoo Only:
- We made changes to the Audio Alerts on the new Karoo. While Karoo does not have volume control, we understand that riders have different needs when it comes to the sound experience on the bike. The new solution provides riders with flexibility to control the audio experience on Karoo. We will continue to evaluate how we can improve Audio Alerts on Karoo.
- In addition to updating the tones for existing sound events, we have created new tones for additional sound events to better differentiate between the Audio Alerts (e.g. Ride not started, Phone notifications, Workout alerts, Strava Live Segment Alerts, Radar Alerts). A full list of audio alerts can be found here.
- Riders can toggle between the “New” Audio Alerts or go back to the “Old” Audio Alerts if they prefer those over the new tones. Go to Settings → Audio Alerts to select your Audio Alert preference.
- Both New Karoo and Karoo 2:
- We added support for a new SDK, now called 'Hammerhead Extensions'. Third party developers are now able to build apps and extensions for Hammerhead riders. New Extensions are supported on both the new Karoo and Karoo 2.
- Previous apps built on the Karoo 2 SDK will not work with the new Extensions SDK.

- We made improvements to the radar Control Center tab where the mute button did not properly reflect the state of your global Audio Alerts. When Audio Alerts are muted the radar mute button will now appear muted and disabled.
- We added an Audio Alert for when a rider manually presses the lap button. Previously this alert was limited to when you had auto-lap configured.
- You can now wake up the screen of your Karoo using any hardware button. Whether you are using Battery Save Mode or manually turn your screen off using the power button, you can turn it back on using any button.
- New Karoo Only:
- We fixed an issue where AXS bikes don’t always sync to Karoo on login.
- Both New Karoo and Karoo 2:
- We fixed an issue when navigating to a specific address in the search bar under routes and the Pin drops at a slightly different destination. You will now get directions directly to the address entered.
- We fixed an issue where navigation and elevation functions were not working correctly in Nicaragua, Guam and near by Islands.
- We made improvements to the new ‘Road Name’ data field. The field now works when you have your CLIMBER preferences set to OFF.
- Karoo 2 Only:
- We fixed an issue where Karoo 2 can sometimes show up as “K” in iOS phone pairing instead of “Karoo 2”.
Dashboard Features:
- You can now view additional details of your upcoming workout in Dashboard. Click on a workout to view your intervals pre-ride.
Companion App:

- We added the ability to see your rides, routes and workouts in the Companion App. The new functionality embeds Hammerhead Dashboard data in the app to easily plan and view your ride. Learn more here.
